well facets are the little indentations on the diamond. imagine a diamond, and when u look on the sides it is CUT in a shape, and has different little sections that catch the light. so if it has 17 facets, there are 17 areas where the diamond is cut and the light can reflect in different ways.... try looking it up on wikipedia tho :)

Either very small diamonds, fragments of them, or a design is etched into the jewelry item making it look like tiny fragments of diamonds. The latter is the cheaper version and it also depends on where you shop.

The jewelry or whatever item is just accented by chips/pieces of diamonds. Not the actual stone.
