your perception is not correct. they are going to showcase the us as a real democratic,and they are trying to wipe out the image of the us as an imperialistic country.

No. They hold the most minimal majority possible in the Senate. And a few of those Senators that are considered to be Democrats aren't even in the Democratic party (Lieberman for example). A good number of Democrats also have a history of voting with Republicans on many issues. Conservatives clearly hold an advantage in my state of Florida right now. And as for liberals leading the country down a path of destruction, I would say this. The only thing that will truly lead to a path of destruction will be blatant corporate greed. I would tell you not to have faith in either of these parties. Vote third party.

Nope, they have re-established the system of checks and balances in our government. The decision to go down the "road of destruction" was taken when we decided to go into Iraq and forget about the other hotbeds of terrorism. Just because he won does not make him the best "decider" for the job.

No they haven't taken over. They were fairly elected by the majority of Americans. Also they are not leading to destruction but away from it. We came very close to destruction under the conservatives.
