I have 3/4 of a tank now and want to run the rest of the gas out. I have a '95 Dodge Spirit. I can't drive it around because the tag is expired and I need to have it smogged. Thanks!

I should have added that I put some of that stuff in the gas take to help me pass the smog test and the directions say to let the enging run until the tank is empty, then refill.

dont run it out of gas , from what i gather you will be driving this thing again yes ?fill it with a gerry can and in that gas put some storage additive , run the thing a bit so the fuel mixes nice( your return line puts most of the pumped fuel back to the tank at idle) . when its time to go again use some methyl hydrate ,( 500 ml.) and you should be good to go , good luck , hope this helps

A pretty long while......why do you need to run the gas out? You could unhook a fuel line coupling and drain the gas into a container.
