December ,7 ,1941 may not ring a bell for many today . Today December the 7th should still be fresh in our minds and the fact that the war to end all wars and the establishment of the United Nations HAS failed .Ignored by those who founded it In an effort to pursue power and control of other nations including the use of force and the military .
How sad so few people remember the past and are doomed to repeat the same errors again .
Engineers learn from mistakes and improve the product . Why has the government and the people learned so little about the nature of war .War is greed for land money and control of resources .No one has invaded Antarctica . But if oil is found in huge supplies there will be a rush to define who owns what . Anyhow back to today .Remember the sacrifice made by your great grandparents and grandparents and the few fathers and mothers left who fought the war to end all wars . Ask them what they think of todays war .

You obviously don't live near a military base. There are ongoing observances all day at most, if not many. Consider this: Japan who blindsided us with the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor is now one of our closest allies. We fought Vietnam for what seemed like forever, and we now have formal relations with them. Germany is also one of our allies. Does this mean that in years to come, Iraq will also be an industrial giant and ally of ours? Remember Pearl Harbor and the lessons we learned.

Your right we are doomed to repeat the past. if we had gotten into wwII before japan had a chance to mass an attack that wouldnt have happend. the Islamic world has declared a war on the west and you want to wait until they bring about another pearl harbor for us to go to war. we are being proactive. so who is misunderstanding?

My parents also agreed with this fight. Even after I explained other possible reasons than 9/11, they were even more in favor of what we are doing. And it doesn't have much to do with oil or money.
