no, paintball is a great sport that allows you to experience a lot of things. The compettion is fun and fierce, its a great way to get some excersice, and its a way to meet people or a great way to spend a day w/ friends.. Though it can get expensive you can keep it relatively cheap as long as you dont go out and by a high end marker and all high end gear to play in..there is also many skill levels to play at and for the most part beginners are welcomed into it by most people..hope that helped!

No way is it overrated. It is one of the most fun things i have ever done

Depending on the person. Its generally a great deal of fun. If you like shooting sometimes painful pellets at your friends and strangers.
