ummm actually being a catholic would be wrong, the majority of southerners are baptists or "southern baptist" you might wanna go that route ;-)

Are you serious? Honey, I don't know where you are but I was born and raised in Southern MS and I am not a mason, a catholic or a clan member and I am doing just fine! First of all, you can't be a mason. Only men are extended invitations and unless you are in a very small town, I doubt the masons do a whole lot. You must be in Louisiana because everyone down here is Catholic. It's ok though, I'm not and I'm doing great. They are usually pretty laid back and I can't imagine anyone from down here telling you to convert. As far as the clan member thing goes, you better be careful who you say that to. We don't like being stereotyped as members of Racist cults and the wounds of civil rights struggles are still fresh for many people.

Southerners tend to be pretty laid back. Maybe you should try just being yourself.

The "secret" to my success is good, quality work and reasonable prices. After that, it's all a matter of location, location, location. I retired out of Camp Pendleton, California and moved to a super small community north of Pensacola, Fl.. Even with a degree, I couldn't find work. As a dog groomer, my wife was frustrated with always working for other people. We did our homework and looked around. Knowing the location of all of the other groomers and their prices is an absolute must. I/we are not members of any organization or hate group.s About the only two things either of are associated with are that we are members of one of the local Methodist churchs, and I'm a Cub Scout Den Leader.
We don't have a budget for advertising. the name of our shop was chosen to insure us being first in the Yellow Pages, and we have a sign out by the road. Anything after that is purely word of mouth. And THAT will either make or break you. We're outsiders and we pulled a profit our first year in business.

First, drop the stereotypes of southerners, second, quit being so anal retentive, I was born and raised in New Orleans, so don't come across with this crap about being mason or catholic or klan, third, northerners are just as crazy as the people in the south. I have found that yankees lack in the simple pleasures of having manners and being polite, yankees rarely ever say "yes sir,yes ma'am, no sir, no ma'am, etc." So maybe if you would relax and stop being arrogant, you'd find that southerners aren't what you are led to believe. As for being alcoholics, get real, yankees drink as much if not more than us rebs.

No. All you have to do is treat (ALL) others with the same respect you would like for yourself. You've been talking to the wrong people, they obviously don't have a clue about what they are saying.
