we don't have winter in our country so its hardly cold here, but it does rain. so i thought:
1. slippers
2. toothbrush
3. umbrella
4. sheet - to stay warm
5. cup
6. soap
any other suggestions?

maybe a gift certificate to a grocery store if they sell them, at least around me they do, or a gift card to a store so them can buy what they need, maybe a cheap comforter in addition to the sheet, deodorant, comb or brush, shampoo, razors/shaving cream, poncho,
