nails on a chalkboard is classic. but styrofoam rubbing against itself is also very intolerable and crying babies.

That deep, booming bass drum sound on a lot of rap music. As a performing musician, I remember how hard drummers worked to actually mute their drums (especially the bass) to get a "tight" sound. Now I can hear a car coming several blocks away, sounding like a bass drum in a marching band.

The icecream truck!
I was at my son's football game and the icecream truck left his music on for over an hour in one spot! I almost went crazy!
My friend told me the most annoying sound for her was when she was stuck in Disney World "It's a small world after all" boat ride it was stuck in the chinese area and for over 30 minutes she had to hear "it's a small world" song in chinese, she almost jumped into the water for a swim out of there!

I would have to say those Christmas trees that sing Christmas songs. Don't get me wrong I love Christmas, but listening to it for over a half hour gets real annoying.

People smacking, nails scaping a chalkboard, yelling, and a loud TV. Nothing gets on my nerves worse than someone having the TV up so loud.

when you walk out of a store and there is someone wearing a santa hat ringing there dam bell non-stop, asking for money for who knows what. That is totally annoying! I hate it!
