I only believe in conspiracies that have been proven. But when a conspiracy has been proven it's no longer a conspiracy theory, it's just history. The JFK assassination is the subject of conspircy theories. The OAS attempt on De Gualle is history. Ergo I don't believe in conspiracy theories. I think most "conspiracy theories" are mythologies that develop from the need to find order and meaning in life. If JFK was murdered by a 24 year old mentally disturbed loser, his death is about as senseless as an accidental fall down a flight of stairs. If it was a big conspiracy, it means that powerful people wanted him dead and his death would be more significant. It would be martyrdom.
One reason I am dubious about conspiracy theories is that conspiracy theorists neglect the Ockham's razor principle. They like to make their conspiracies bigger and bigger. They take it to the point that any information contradicting the conspiracy becomes part of the conspiracy.

Funny you mentioned that. I've been doing some research lately on that, and I'm beginning to think the moon landing was a hoax as well.
One of the final straws was when NASA somehow "lost" the original footage recently.

The moon thing was not a hoax. However, if "anyone" believes that one bullet did everything on 11/23 in Dallas... I'd sure like to see it duplicated!
