i know i asked about orthotrycyclin lo last night, but i do have another question, do u take that pill when your on your period or do u stop? thanks.

On a pack there are 4 total weeks on there. You should take all of them. Not that they all have hormones but it helps keep you in the habit of taking a pill everyday. The last week of pills are placebo pills and don't have any hormones, that is the week you will have your period. So in a sense, you do take the fake pills when you're on the pill just to keep you in the habit of taking the pill.

Yes, I took the pill for two months and I didn't have a period, but this month I took all the pills and I got a period. It just all depends but you are not planning getting pregnant while you are on the pill and not having a period, you know to use another method of protection.

With most you continue taking the pill through the month however there is 1 week of fake pills made of sugar, this is just so you always remember to take them.

I'm on the pill and i stop so that my period starts. Then i start taking it again after a pause week (even though my period hasn't yet stopped).

depending on which type... i know that usually there is a different color of pills for the week your suppose to have your period and mine are green and the regaulr ones are pink... but its just a lower dose.

Nope you take it every single day until you decide you no longer want to take it. Three years and counting for me.
