need a poem for a best friend?

I need some help with finding a poem for my best mate this christmas. Ive known her for about 4 years and have been through a lot together and because im a cr*p mate i never really tell how much i appreciate her. I couldnt begin to count the times we have mopped up each others' tears! As i would never say this kinda of thing being a bit of a ladette i would really appreciate some help in finding something to let her know how much she means to me.

Cold black stone
Left me standing here all alone
A road I’ve found no end
So many bumps and turns
Still you leave me with another bend

Twisted and curved I follow
Deep within my heart cold and hollow
Winding and turning I continued on
So many roads have come and gone

One day I set out to find the right path
Frustated, sad and confused
Only to find myself feeling its wrath
I moved along,
My Soul, tormented and bruised

Standing at a fork in this God forsaken place
Tired, scared and all alone
Tears of sorrow streaked my face
I fall, hitting hard, the cold black stone

A gentle touch upon my shoulder
Not knowing, not willing to understand
I turned to see you standing there
Outstretched arm with a helping hand.........

I thank God for the day you were created
And smile each time you look my way
The road has warmed and all my sorrows were tamed
Within my heart your friendship and love will always remain.

So the next road I travel frightening and new
I will walk without pain or sorrow
Not before, but knowing this now
All my roads will lead back to you

How's friendships created
What bonds their souls to each?
Isn't sharing their deepest secrets
Or the love spoken in their speech?

How's friendships kept
Through the strain that they may face?
Is it saying, "I love you"... sometimes
Or occasionally touching base?

How's friendships lost
When there seemed no end in sight?
By ignoring their pain and anguish
And not sharing in their delight.

I pledge to you, my friend
I'll never walk away
I'll share the good and bad
And beside you... I'll always stay.

And when life isn't worth it
When the tears roll down your cheek
Just close your eyes and listen
And from a distance... you'll hear me speak.

Though my words at times seem pointless
When no answers I seem to impart
Dont listen the way you have in the past
But listen with your heart.

For the important things in life
Are invisible to your eyes
You'll hear them in your heart
For your heart will never tell lies.

So, though I may be far away
Too far for you to reach
Remember I'm there forever
For I've told you in my speech.

Yet, distance never mattered
For distance will only depend
On the depth of the love I have...
And I love you dearly, my friend.

So when clouds are at their darkest
And no lining do you see
You have a friend, so close
And that friend, my friend... is me.

A Greater Love
I dream of a love I never known.
A love so great, a love that grows.
This is a love I always wanted.
This is a love that should not be
taken for granted.
I didn't know, but now I do.
Believing in a love that is so true.
What does it take for you to understand.
This a love greater than any man.
But if you don't know.
I'll be happy to tell.
This a greater love than we had ever felt.
But if you must know, o.k I'll tell ya!
He's our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior.
So now you know the love is from above.
Because God will always be a greater love.

I gave this poem to my best friend when he had to leave my school. Hope it helps,

The best of friends never bends to the whims and wills of others.
They will stand at your right hand, closer than a brother.
Though enemies surround you and darkness falls around you, the best of friends will tell you that "we'll make it to the other side."
Though other's hateful words may harm you, an their actions may alarm you, the best of friends will be that for you, not just in for the ride.
And though time may pass, when you lay six feet under the grass, this will be your ephitah- that you were the best of friends.

i,ve got 2 for u i cant decide which i like the best but i hope they help.

there are those who pass like ships in the night
