Evey one is worried about Iraq and the problems facing Iraq but why dont any of you care about the people dieing in africa or in south america ? I asked a question concering Aids and the answers i got where on the basis of who cares if its the American way to take care of the world then we suck .....

unfortunately, the answers you receive are more strategic...oil and location. it is pitiful no action is taken in other situations but look back...there was little or late or no action in cambodia, the balkans, rwanda, sudan, etc.

There are people dieing right here in North America. I think that it is time that the aid given to foreign countries should have to be accounted for. If there is no accountability then the aid to that country should be stopped and the children of this continent should benifit. If a country can show that the aid sent to them is received by the people who need it and not lining some big shots pocket then the aid continues If not then a different country will benifit. Too many countries are sitting back and expecting North America to come to their aid.
I believe in accountability and if there is no accountability then there will be no aid NO MATTER what the country, the continent the language or the color of skin.

People do care. What makes you say such a blatently judgmental statement. If you have some great ideas to reslove the problems of the world, lets hear them. How about you run for office and reslove the probles. I really believe that was an arrogant incinuation, that we as a people do not care about pain & suffering everywhere in the world. If we were not wasting time, lives, money etc on Iraq we could do more other places.

Many of us care about everyone.. but sometimes you have to prioritize.. because there's no way to help the whole world at the same time... so you SHOULD go where you can do the most good and work from there... whereas Bush has gone to where he can cause the most harm.. and has caused that harm.
