Or are they simply being rewarded for being so "brave" for picking a fight with Toby Kieth and Bush?

No, the Grammy association doens't go by politics or they would ever nominate half the country stars. The Dixie Chicks are talented and they made a judgment call that cost them a lot of their career.

Um no. Whoopie, they picked a fight with Toby Keith. They are probably getting the noms because they have gone mainstream, rather than country.

They suck, and always have sucked, even before they opened their big mouths in a foriegn country.
I have no qualms with what they said, you're free to believe what you want. That's what's great about being American. It was just really crappy that they said it in a foreign country. They didn't have the balls to do it here! It was a stunt to get the crowd all riled up, nothing more.

I dont think anyone gets nominated for being "brave".

I love the Dixie Chicks. I think they are great artists. Natalie Mains has one of the best voices I have ever heard. Those nominations are well deserved.

What they think about the president or Toby Keith is irrelevant here.

It is good for them, they deserve it...
They are survivors.... really. They are the first country music group who trespass the establishments and conformities. I wish they could earn all the nominations next Feb, 11th 2007.
True artist! Always seek for freedom of speech, not fake or phony at all. When they don't like Bush, they say they don't like him.... not because they are Americans they have to love him... this is the true freedom of speech!

I can't stand them. . .they are one of the worst country groups ever and only are popular due to their disrespect of our president. I wouldn't spend one penny on them...

They are the best there is, the best there ever was and the best there ever will be. And I don't even own any of their CDs. They are simply that good.

Yes they are very talented. And they have taken a lot of flack not to mention death threats because of their political beliefs.
