Ha! I just watched an episode of All in the Family for history class, and hands down Archie Bunker was the biggest racist

I think it would have to be Archie Bunker, but the worst part was that he was so proud of it. I'm surprised that show was so popular and stayed on for so long. He didn't seem to be embarrassed by being a racist at all.

I think Archie Bunker was probably the biggest racist. Archie hated everyone, George just hated whites.
Archie was more love-able though. Carroll O'Connor was a great actor!

I never really recall Bunker using the N word. But George sure did throw around Cracker and Honkey a lot. I guess the N word would have caused a riot in LA or something. I personally found both funny. Too bad Blacks can find humor in the whole thing.

George Jefferson would win that! Archie's deal was he was really just uneducated and naive..he did not really mean any harm.

But Jefferson was obviously a bitter man filled with alot of hate..the things he said were said "on purpose" with INTENT!!

I think they balanced each other out. Both were equally so. I think Mr. Jefferson began making money and had better things to do with his time afer awhile.

O'Conner was so believable. A great actor indeed.
