If you think so, why do you think that? Has he ever said that?

Clay Aiken is rumored to be gay, although he has not come out of the closet yet. Rosie O'donnel (on The View) called Kelly Ripa a homophobe because when Clay touched her face with his hand she said "Hey, I don't know where that hand has been." There are also rumors that Clay is seeing Lance Bass. Clay has not admitted to being gay.

I don't understand why this type of question keeps coming up. What does it matter? If he is or is not gay, it he does or does not like spaghetti, if he does or does not drive a red car it does not make him any less talented. Why do we have to know so much about celebrities? I feel really sorry for these people who are hounded to death (literally in some cases) about their personal life. It's not our business or he would have made it our business. Put yourself in his place, would you want everyone in your school, town, city, state, country wanting to know your sexual preference. Have some respect and let it drop.

I'm sorry for sounding like I'm going off on you. I'm not saying this as a personal statement to you, I'm saying it as a statement of my own frustration. I go out of my way to let these people have privacy by not buying magazines and not looking at web-sites or TV shows that promote this insane desire our society to know every detail about people in the entertainment world. It's an invasion of their privacy.

Just as an added note:

I have met Clay, he is a nice, quiet, polite and respectable man. He does not deserve nor want this type of notoriety.

He has never commented on this, but Rosie O'Donnell seems to think so. Maybe she knows more than we do.

I don't know if you heard about this but Clay pissed Kelly Ripa off and Rosie said Kelly only got mad because she is a homophobe. So that's why i think he is.

He doesn't talk about his love life and if he is why does it matter. Let's hope the most interesting thing about him isn't his sexual preference. How would you feel if people went around asking you are you straight are you gay all the time. You would think it's was none of their business.

Why would someone care if the guy is gay? Does that makes you feel better about yourself and your sexuality? I really don't understand this obsession about homosexuality... :p
