Leapster, Legos, Playdoh, Hotwheels, bicycle, Moonsand(like playdoh, but it will never dry out even if you leave it out), crayons, markers, paint set, art easel, coloring book, Mo Willems, Pigeon Series, Laura Numeroff, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Series, Over the Hedge, Cars, other movies that he has seen and enjoyed. Hope that helps! Merry Christmas!

It really depends on your son what is he into? If he like the movie cars get him a car, if he likes sports get him something related to sports. For example my son loves office supplies and he is happy with writing tools, books, post it, markers, and so on. So his birthday came up and I bought him a lap top for 5 years olds (learning toy). That way they could have fun and at the same time they can learn. But ya it all really depends on your son, I’m sure you can figure it out on your own, look around his room and see what’s he missing. Nobody knows him as good as you do.

I know most people will think this is very cheap of me to say this but you can hit Family Dollar. They have a lot of really cool toys that are name brand and best of all quite inexpensive. For stocking suffers, you can goto Dollar Tree and stock up for the young lad with candy, coloring books, crayons. The sky is the limit. All you have to do with family dollar is take the sticker that says Family Dollar and the price. Best of all, you will not spend a lot on these cool toys (they even have Leap Frog) and therefore won't resort into going in debt like most folks do this time of year. If you worry about Playstation 3 or other consoles like most people, you're best bet is to probably wait until after Christmas.

How about a multimedia pixter. I bought one for my 5 year old son two months ago for his birthday and he loves it. It plays movies, it has interactive games, and many educational activities. This multimedia pixter is great. Even my 12 year old daughter enjoys playing with it. The best thing is that ToysRus has them clearanced right now :)

It depends what he likes. My grand kids {4&6} like to draw so I'm getting them a drawing kit and maybe a table to sit at. Some kids like spiderman, batman things etc.
Learning toys are nice too.
