Where is the direction of a gravitational field?

Is it in the same direction as the gravitational attraction, away from the center of gravity of an object, or opposite to the direction of gravitational attraction?

normal to the earth's surface towards center of earth

it goes from the smaller object(s) to the larger object(s). there is even a gravitational pull between say you and your pc but it is so small it is never really noticed

I believe it goes in all directions outward from the center of mass.
