A little known thing about people with psychic ability, mostly what they are able to do is pick up on your subconscious, rather than predict the future.

Unfortunately, most psychics are either scam artists or just not very good. If you want to go to a psychic, get a recommendation from a friend.

If any psychic tells you that you or a loved one is "cursed" or anything like that, and they need more money to make the curse go away, run, don't walk from this charlatan as they are just trying to rip you off!

Sounds obvious, put it happens all the time.

No

Not if it's advertised like the Psychic Friends Network and ones where every person in the country is supposedly able to talk to one person at the exact same time, then it might be real.

There is/was a Website for such people to get clients and clients to locate such people (the real Psychics),.. but the Psychics would work out networks of people that would vote them up and vote down their competition,.... kinda like this thumb system. So that's not very helpful.

But to your question's second part : Yes, but it's supposed to be rare to find a Psychic that can actually work over the phone instead of in person.

Added: If you want to spend money calling them, don't call expecting Fame and Fortune. Call with it clear in your head that this is " Entertainment". Like calling the Phone Joke Lines to learn a Joke.

I have seen a psychic in person, but never called over the phone or used the Internet. I went for fun, and it was. The town I live in has a psychic fair out of one of the hotels. Take everything they say with a grain of salt. Alot of what the one woman told me has happened and the other woman told me some things that never happened and that wouldn't even pertain to me.

My mom called a psychic once as a joke. The radio station was having free psychic readings. That asked my mom for my birthdate and name. They predicted that I was being rebellious and that I wasn't living up to my Chinese customs, it was a chinese radio station. Anyone could figure out from my birthday that I was a teenager and anyone could figure from my name that I was a first generation chinese in America. I'ts all a scam

No one in the world has psychic ability. People can't even see into their own futures, let alone someone else's.

Psychics use a technique called "cold reading" in order to predict your future. They speak in generalities and use the cues you give them to narrow down their predictions and then speculate on the future.

If anyone were really psychic, they would be able to tell you the lottery numbers, what your middle name was, your address, etc. They wouldn't need a 20-30 minute session with you since your future is so clear to them.

Your local library likely has books about this technique and how you could develop it on your own.

A real psychic knows that they should never charge for their services. One who charges should not be trusted. By the way, that's one of the rules of magick, never charge someone for you're services. Have you seen that movie "The Gift?" That's a good portrayal of a real psychic. If they're asking for money, don't trust em, but if they do it for free, they know what they're doing.

If you believe that calling a psychic works, you're probably not bright enough to be making your own decisions so randomness is probably an improvement.
