If you mean a "red light district" then the answer is yes. There are many businesses all over Tokyo and other large cities. They take many forms and not all have actual places to go. Some are "delivery." You order online or via the phone and they send the girl to you. The majority of these accept only Japanese customers. I have read that fear of diseases carrier by foreigners is the main reason for this.

Having no interest in this "sport" I don't have any first-hand knowledge to pass on. But I understand that there are some places that accept foreign customers. Of course, you might end up with a non-Japanese companion. It is also my understanding that all or most of these places are run by the Yakuza, the Japanese mafia. So if you do try to find one of these places, be nice to everyone and don't make trouble.

Yeah, a lot of joints are Japanese only. However, since the recession even the water trade is a bit down on its luck and is thus less selective than it used to be. A lot of the workers are likely to be foreign in any case. I guess if you wanted to get off the beaten track and try the red light zones that gaijin don't get to I would suggest the remnants of Yoshiwara that still exist in east Tokyo, the skanky parts of Kawasaki, or go across Tokyo bay to Kisarazu. But really, it's all over Japan.

Many of them are Japanese only. And all of them are expensive. You're talking at least $250 and up. Try Shinjuku. Just don't make a guy wearing a pin stripe suit and sun-glasses mad...The yakuza don't play...
