My husband has an iPod shuffle and would like to listen to his MP3's in his car. We just have a regular CD/am/fm player and I was wondering if anybody can recommend a good FM transmitter. We live in a rural area so finding a station isn't a problem. I'm looking at the Belkin model available at Newegg.com. Does anybody have any experience with these?

It has to work with an iPod shuffle (older model, not the new itty bitty cube one), and I'm looking to spend no more than $40. Thanks!

I'm not looking to replace the stereo - just looking for FM transmitter recommendations. Again, not looking to spend more than $40. I know there are some good ones out there!

I do not recommend FM transmitters as sound quality is horrible. I had two Belkins and both sound like AM radio w/ lots of static sounds. Spend $ 60 more and get yourself w/ new car stereo w/ built-in aux. Other opt. is to pay $60+installation for adopter (aux interface) to work w/ car's factory stereo. Crutchfield.com will offer various options. These will provide CD quality sounds and prevent annoying static sounds commonly associated w/ FM transmitters. One bad thing about the adopter is that you have limited control of ipod (songs can be played through playlist only) & affixed to one car.
