I have recently been put on a lower dose of the pill and ive been taking when i should be and never forgotten it. I have 10 pills left until i stop for my period, but today i had 2 tiny spots of blood! and this is usually the day i get my period on! Freaky! Is this normal? I never had anything like this when i was on my last pill and that was for 2 years.
I've also been getting symptoms as if its my time of the month..
Help?

Yes, totally normal. Most pills now are a mix of two hormones, an estrogen and a progesterone. Each woman's hormone levels and reaction to them are different. Health care providers try to find a balace between the two hormones that has the least side effects for you, but as long as you are taking them correctly, you should still be protected.
For example, here are some symptoms, but as you can see, they overlap. This is why so many people have to keep switching brands until they find one that works for them.
Too much estrogen: nausea, breast tenderness, water retention, migraine, high blood pressure
Too little estrogen: early or mid breakthrough bleeding, spotting, very light period
too much progestin: increased appetite, weight gain, depression, tiredness, very light period
Too little progestin: late cycle breakthrough bleeding, no period, or excess bleeding during period

Very normal. Go to the website of the company that makes your pills and read the adverse events/side effects.
