MAKE SURE EVERYONE WHO IS IN THE BAND IS IN AGREEMENT ABOUT WHO WRITES - and subsequently, who owns - THE SONGS. Put it down on paper - it's called a split sheet. If you want a copy of one, you can contact me.
besides the obvious organizational hurdles, gigging hurdles and member chemistry, that's all. The RISK is in all-caps.
Also, elect someone to run rehearsal. It's not a free-for-all.

First, consider each band member's forte. It doesn't mean that if you guys are all excellent with your instruments that you'll hit ift off perfectly.
Chemistry as musicians and as potential friends should also be taken into consideraiton. Like what I said, all your strengths and weaknesses when you play your insttruments should be complimented or backed up by your other band members.
In the long run, you'd have to work together in jam sessions. And it's also difficult if you don't all get along. What if you'd want to make your originals? Good company will also make a band successful since you've all got good judgments.
Availability also comes in. Does everybody have the time to commit on abnd practices? This comes with professionalism and maturity too.
Last, age, looks, and stage performance. These are all factors to consider when performing. It doesn't end by just being a good musician; what makes you great is that extra 'umph' you can give your audience when you're up on stage.
Good luck! Rock on!

See if all of your members work together well, time to practice, places to practice, who wants to listen to your music, cost of place to practice, cost of instruments, and if you want to be famous, getting an agent/ record deal.
