Silvestre Reyes the soon to be chairman of House Intelligence Committee wants to send in 20,000-30,000 more troops to Iraq.

I though Democrats campaigned on "we'll get us out of Iraq"

How are the far left kooks going to respond to Pelosi appointing Reyes, who she knew had these beliefs?

You know, the world might make a lot more sense to you if you took off the blinders. Whenever I see a "question" like "Liberals explain this," I know you're nothing but a brainless bigot with an axe to grind. Believe it or not, everybody on earth really doesn't pigeonhole into the cute little categories Rush Limbaugh would have you believe. "Typical."

The point, of COURSE, is that Rumsfeld botched the war by NOT sending in enough troops when we actually might've had a chance to "win" this thing. Now, it's just damage control. We HAVE to send in more troops just to be able to "get out of Iraq." And the main problem with this is that we don't have the troops to send now, because they've bene intervening in this escalating civil war for 3 years nonstop. Maybe if you could think about anything with a clear head, rather than instantly defaulting to your political brainwashing, you could see that.

It really doesn't pay to pick sides along party lines in times such as these. How about rewarding competence and punishing incompetence?

Just like the draft, when you talk about more troops it outrages the American people and that puts more pressure on the President to end the war he lied us into. McCain want to put more troops in also Kerry and the high brass say it is to late for more troops.

It doesn't mean it will happen.

The Dems are about change. It's OBVIOUS the REPS have totally failed on this one.

The Dems have to pull us out without destablizing the region or THEY will get the blame for that!

Bush is the commander in chief. ONLY he can put in or pull out troops. CONGRESS has no power, except to fund or not fund.

Lets see if BUSH pulls out the troops or not!

Just what is it that you see as inconsistent or hypocritical about sending in additional troops to expedite our withdrawal from Iraq?

This would seem like a contradiction to someone who is simple-minded, but someone who is very, very sharp -- as you so clearly are -- shouldn't have trouble with this one.
