They already tried to overthrow the Venezuelan government several times. Once they almost succeeded. But the Venezuelan people turned it around.

Iraq was an unpopular dictatorship, so Bushco thought that anyone who invaded and overthrew it would be popular. A stupid thought but at least somewhat logical.

Chavez is wildly popular with most Venezuelans so I would guess that even Bush is not that stupid. At least I hope so!

The US had no reason to invade Iraq and even less to invade Venezuela.
You're right about one thing. Venezuela has oil reserves. It's not the property of the United States.

Nope.. All of South America would join in on Venezuela's side. The south americans are a hell of a lot smarter, democratic & better-networked than, say, the arabs. Orkut would become the HQ of the anti-US stir (it's originated from & dominated by brazil). The US would've been slapped right & left by sanctions, no-fly-over, closure of panama canal, shakira, enrique, ricky martin... Subsequently the rest of the world would've joined in booing the US into backing off.

Not to mention that invading any country for oil is, well, as dumb as invading a country for oil! they'd end up using all that fuel up just in driving those guzzling humvees around!

The reason that we the USA invaded Irak was not only for the oil, there are other reasons that I know you already knows. About Venezuela, I don't think that we will invade, even though Mr Hugo Chavez is not our friend, he haven't killed or massacre any Venezuelans, like Husein did. And another thing we haven't heard no where Mr Bush said something bad about Mr Chavez, even though Mr Chavez have disrespected Mr. Bush so many times.

The U.S.A. has more oil reserves than all of the oil producing country's combined. The U.S. did not 'invade' Iraq for the oil and will not invade Venezuela either. Get Real!

Venezuela is a jungle. The last time we tried that, in Vietnam, we lost 16 times the number of dead we've wasted in Iraq. True, we swept through Panama without much resistance, but Chavez is more like Ho Chi Minh than he is like Noriega. Also, we got ripped apart by Chavez's role model, Castro, at the Bay of Pigs.

The U.S. has no dazzling ot invade any u . s . much less Mexico, considered one of that is actual identifying to purchase and merchandising companions. Mexico provides a huge element of the petroleum the U.S. consumes. Mexico is a loose Democracy not a dictatorship. The U.S. does not could invade Mexico to "restoration" that is government. As for the drug subject, I agree that some thing desires to be executed approximately it; whether it's going to be the Mexican people who therapy the subject. they have a concern with corrupt officers over there and that they could % greater helpful ones, the subject is they don't have a super determination as maximum officers in Mexico are corrupt. that is person-friendly know-how.

Well it's a lot closer, so it wouldn't cost nearly as much to ship bullets and humvees down there. I don't know what the environment is like, I know the sand in Iraq is really hard on vehicles and other equipment.
