I am guessing that you are the other guy. Did you do this to come between him and her? That is what she's gonna think if you tell him the truth. (She's gonna be mad at you, but might get over it in time, she's just as much to blame). Actually, that is what he's gonna think ,also. (He'll be mad at the both of you). He's gonna keep an eye on the two of you from now on.
The public opinion's answer seems to be yes. Tell the truth and your plan has worked. Or deny it and keep the secret. Well ... me and my suspicious mind.

You know thats hard but for me i would be totally honest about it!! I had a family member find out that my boyfriend cheated and never told me but later on after we split up they told me and i was pretty hurt by this so you know if you are a good friend you will tell the truth and the bible says the truth shall set you free!!!

If you were him, would you want him to tell you? It is not your place to keep these two together. Cheating is wrong for many reasons. What if she did not use protection, then you are facing the reality that she could get him very ill. Not to mention it is illegal then. You must really put your self in this other guys place, then act. I have been there and I told my bff husband that she had been cheating. It sucked but she could of gotten him real ill and if I was being cheated on then I would want to know.

You were asked a point blank question and you lied - you should feel guilty.
There are better ways to avoid answering questions like that, such as "That's something you should ask her," or "I don't want to get involved," or "It's none of my business, please don't ask me."
Since you have lied, the only way to make it "right" is to go to the boyfriend, say you DO know, but didn't want to tell him. If he asks again, then you should decide what to say.
Whether you tell him the "truth" or not is irrelevant. If you want honesty from others, you need to give it of yourself.

Well maybe the girlfrind doesnt want to know...maybe she really really regrets it and maybe she didnt technically "cheat". maybe her boyfriend never really asked her out or something and she was like tired of waiting, and thought, "hey im still single..i guess..." and went for it. Only to regret it later for the rest of her life. I would say dont tell him, but only if its the situation i described. If he wants to dump her, he'll do it himself, no matter what anyone says.

Don't get involved. The messenger always gets the blame. talk to your friend. tell her what's happened. encourage her to come clean. It will be much better for all concerned if it comes from her.

Yup you should tell him. Nobody deserves to be cheated on. If they dont get along anyway they shouldn't be together.
