I know my wife better than anyone I know...and it should be that way....but this christmas is the most trouble I have ever had trying to get her gifts..... I will not buy her clothes cause I will go shopping with her all the time...and keep an eye out for stuff she says she likes.....so then i go back get the exact same thing she said she wanted and when she opens it....she's all excited then the day after....EVERY PIECE of clothing goes back except for maybe 1 or 2 things...so i stopped buying her clothes...so then i thought i could fix that and do gift cards......SHE HATES GIFT CARDS...now im stuck because she does not get into anything else......anyone have any different suggestions??

And i forgot to add...although it was a good idea.....she HATES perfume...and she can will not wear jewelry to work cause she is afraid she will lose it...and then I still buy it for her and she does not wear it when we go out....we love each other to death but im stuck....we have a baby on the way and i thought about getting stuff she wanted for that but that is not right cause she is not the only one that will use it.....everyone will and its not really appropriate to get her gifts for our baby

Why don't you plan a date for her and get her all the pieces she needs. Take her to the theater or a dinner cruise or something. Get her an outfit (something simple in case she wants to return it) a piece of jewelery. The soundtrack to the show or whatever. Then you can wrap the tickets or a gift certificate to a really nice place for dinner. You can number all the presents in the order she will use them for that night. It could be very romantic, thoughtful and also fun like a game for her as she opens boxes and tries to figure out what you are doing. Also it gives you a nice Christmas, plus a great date night later on.

Some people just like returning stuff so they can go shopping. I don't get it.
Try stuff she won't/can't return. How about a day of pampering...many spas sell a package where she could get massage, manicure, hair, facial, the works.
Ideally you could combine this with a great new piece of jewelry...so she has something pretty to wear when you take her out on the town after she's all beautiful!

Take her to a spa, or a nail salon. You could surprise her by asking her to keep her eyes close and not peeping. Or what is real romantic and unforgettable is you giving her a full spa treatment at home yourself. Or you can be traditional and buy jewelery, or some good smelling fragrances like Victoria Secrets

Bath and Body holiday lotions are real nice. I love them, I even like the gift card so I know I get what I like.
I have a tanning bed so I like tanning lotion too.
Go ahead and get a piece of clothing even though she will take it back. Apparently she doesn't mind taking it back.

I think a nice piece of jewelry, especially a piece that has some special meaning, would be a sure bet. Anything that shows you put some thought into and is heartfelt I'm sure she would love.

I agree with the other post, call your local spa and ask about their "day or pampering" It may not be called that, but most spas have all day packages.
You could get her one of those new GPS systems. (that's what I am hoping for!)
