Well, I'm pretty sure they're genetic, first of all, so you shouldn't be ashamed of them. I've got them on my hips, butt and thighs, and I'm not overweight at all (5'7 and 125 lbs), it just happened during puberty I guess. Secondly, I haven't really been able to find a way to actually get rid of them. I have had limited success with things like creams made with cocoa butter, and also Dove's firming lotion (you know, from the campaign for real beauty?) works pretty well too. But don't be disappointed if they don't completely disappear.
**My goodness, I can be such a blonde sometimes (I dye my hair red, I'm naturally a blonde!) I just looked at the comment below and realized I ought to have mentioned microdermabrasion. Yes, it costs an arm and a leg in a salon, but I happen to sell the Mary Kay Microdermabrasion set, which uses the very same microcrystals used in professional microdermabrasion. It's only $55, as opposed to the huge cost of a salon visit, and you can use it over and over.

Nothing will make them go away, trust me I have them too. You are not alone, and it sucks, lol. Just keep your skin moisturized a lot to help reduce the apperance and getting anymore. Shea Butter works pretty good, find something with it. They have a laser surgery that will, but it doesn't promise that it will work, and you will most likely receive more when you are pregnant. So, it does suck but hopefully they will invent something soon! lol.

I used Dermal-K back in the day. It worked wonders, but it's kind of expensive. Shop around for the best price. Also, keep those areas moisturized so they don't get worse.

If your have a extra $3,000 to spare then you can get a skin peel or microdermabrassion, or use dermablend makeup it's cheaper.
