Ok, here's the situation..my girlfriend came home the other night. she said she was feeling heat flashes, stomach aches, nautcious, and a fever..she walked into the house and then threw up for 25 minutes. Later that night we had unprotected sex and i came in her again. She has another child already and told me the last time she felt that way was when she found out she was pregnant. She then asked me to go out and get a test. I did, a digital and line one..both came up neg. Her period was suppossed to be 2 days ago on the 5th. We have been moderatly active this month with no protection at all. The month before we were also but nothing happened. We would love to become pregnant but im not sure with the symptoms she has now if she is or not. She's late and feeling some sypmtoms of preg. but the test came out neg. twice.!! im planning on waiting a week but im sweating everyday out until then...constantly asking how she feels or had her period. Any thoughts..i'm very concerned and curious.

Make sure you take the test with mornings first urine. It's more concentrated than urine through out the day so the hormone is easier detected.

Nobody can really tell you if she is or not, to be honest.

Sure, she may have had negative tests, but maybe this cycle she ovulated later than usual...and if that is the case, it still could be too early to test.

I am not a huge believer in early symptoms since a lot of that is caused by the rise in hcg...and that doesn't even start happening until 5-10 days after ovulation alone. Many "symptoms" don't start until 5-6 weeks of pregnancy (from last period date).

She very well could be pregnant if you timed it just right (only a 24 hour window a month for that egg to live) ......but like I said, it may be still early based on when ovulation actually was.

Maybe give it a week and try testing again. :)

Wait 48 hours after the last time you took a test. Every day the pregnancy hormone doubles so if you wait two days. You would be more likely to get a sure answer.
Good luck I wish you two the best!

My only suggestion would be to buy a different brand of test - maybe First Resonse or EPT and try again. If she is getting sick I would definitely call the doc and make an appt either way just to confirm pregnancy or find out what else could be causing it! Good Luck!
