I have an 11 year old boy. He doesn't really like candy, though I will get him chocolate for the stocking. I wanted to know what ideas you have for stocking stuffers, inexpensive (I don't consider a $25 vidoe game a stocking stuffer, especially inexpensive). Looking to spend about $5 a gift.
So, Y!A people, what you got for me?

a deck of cards, socks, gloves, a hat, trading cards if he's into that, cool themed pencils (for whatever he's into: sports, pets, games, etc etc), a small nerf football, I don't know if 11 is old enough but a small bottle of axe cologne, hair gel, magazines... I'll keep thinking and add more if I come up with anything else. ;)
(*edit* I can't say I actually know what it (axe) smells like but I know my younger cousin likes it so that's why I suggested it. ;) I know my husband uses Tommy and Black by Kenneth Cole and I like the smell of those two.)

Definitely go to the dollar store. You can fill up a stocking in there for about $10. Playdough, coloring books, school supplies for after Christmas break. Just get creative. I don't have any kids but I love doing stockings for my 11 year-old sister and my 17 year-old brother. Good luck and Happy Holidays.

The dollar store has a lot of toys and fun weird things for stocking stuffers. You can get some inexpensive things at Wal-Mart, like pens, playing cards, baseball cards, handheld games, etc.
Good Luck

My kids are 18 and 22, but they still like my stocking stuffers. Think fun, they get paddle balls and slinkies, I got them small cans of play dough. Crayons and coloring books are fun. Go to the dollar store in your area and check out the toys. I fill the kids stockings for about $10 each and they have a blast with the toys, we let the kids open their stockings on Christmas eve and always have. It gives them something to do, and they have fun.

You can go by your local dollar store and rumage through the aisles....you're bound to find a cart full of stuff there. Keep in mind that is it a STOCKING, and that he'll have "Real" gifts to open, so theres no need to go "all out" with the stocking stuffers.

Hit the Dollar Tree. Everything there is only dollar plus you can get really nifty toys, school supplies, etc. I got the inspiration when I asked the same question you are asking a couple days ago. Merry Christmas!

My Mum used to buy us things we needed like new undies, socks etc... but they were all wrapped individually and mixed in with the other stocking gifts... We always got so excited, I think half the thrill is in the unwrapping...

We used to get real dollar coins. You could get those fake lumps of coal for a laugh. Gum, pencils, markers, McDonalds coupons, sports/trading cards.
