This problem only seems to happen with the BBC Homepage (www.bbc.co.uk/). I use Firefox. When I start a new Firefox session the BBC homepage comes up, no problem. If I return to that page in the same internet session, the page doesn't load. This has only just started happening. Firefox had worked perfectly for weeks.

The same doesn't happen if I use IE7 but I can't stand using it, as it keeps on crashing.

I haven't got a clue this is happening. Anybody got an answer?

Thanks for the advice king badger, but I clear my cache every time I finish a Firefox session and I regularly clear out my temp files too... any other ideas? Thanks for your time though.

Thanks ffordcash. I might try to reinstall Firefox later on if I don't get any other better ideas.

Sorry, but have no idea.
I am using Firefox, and have just jumped on and off BBC several times.
Only thing I can suggest is that you uninstall and re install FFox. Do you have the latest version?
By the way it is much better than IE7, NO popups, and never crashes like unstable old IE7.

Might be a problem with your caching

Go to tools>> clear private data >> select clear cache
also delete all your temporary internet files
see if that helps

Try e-mailing them - the web support guys at the BBC are excellent. I am sure they will help you with this problem.
