I think people should be aloud to decide what is best for them. The governments are making to many decision for us, soon we will be told what part of our own a## we can scratch.

In My OPINION:
Abortion should not be used a method as a birth control, there are cost effective ways to manage birth control and we have many options. Also abortion is a medical procedure.

Abortion would be appropriate if the woman is high risk of dying from carrying or giving birth to the baby.
Example: Someone has to have a C-section because have a
small frame but they are allergic to anesthesia. Now the health
insurance won't pay for tubal ligation until she is 21 years old.
Before she is 21 she gets raped and is now pregnant. Abortion
should be an option available if she so chooses.

If a couple has been trying to have a baby and finds out they are pregnant with a baby with down syndrome or dwarfism, they should put the child up for adoption rather than aborting it.

There are too many people out there who cannot have children, let the child live and give it to a family who wants to adopt.

The only time I support abortion is if their is a good chance that mother will die if she carries the baby to full term. If she wants an abortion because she slept with her mommy, I guess she shouldn't have been having sex with her family members in the first place. If the girl gets raped and has a baby is very rare, but in any case they baby shouldn't be punished for the crime the father commited. If she doesn't want it, just put it up for adoption are use the safe heaven law and give up all parental rights. The reason that its wrong is obvious, its just plain MURDER! Here are some abortions pics, so you can see for yourself. Just to warn you these are explicit pictures.

A BIG NO-NO! Okay, abortion is murder. Period. Abort---to kill or wipe out.

They say it's a choice...yes, a choice for death. When a mother walks into an abortion clinic, they don't offer the choice of adoption or a shelter for single mothers. The only choice they give you is an abortion.

So you kill the baby because YOU made a mistake? How illogical is that? It's the mother choosing whether her child lives or dies. The baby has no say in the matter of its own life! The constitution says that every human has the rights of LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We ignore that and deny the baby's rights.

Women say it's "my body." Oh really? That's a separate human being. Just because it's dependent on you doesn't mean that it is part of your body! A newborn baby is also dependent on the mother, but no one would dare say that it is part of the mother's body!

I am against abortion 100%. It is evil and it is the greatest sin of our country. I am ashamed of any fellow Christian of mine who would facilitate abortion, unless it is life-threatening to the mother.

God Bless!

I am a person who is truly on the fence on this one. As a woman, I believe that no one has the right to tell me what to do with my body. If, God forbid, I was raped or something was wrong with my child to where it would'nt live and would kill me, I think I would seriously consider abortion. Having said that, I am also a Christian, and I think that having an abortion simply because the condom broke, or a number of other reasons people get pregnant, is wrong. In extreme, life-threatening cases, I think abortion is vital in saving lives and giving women and families another chance at life. But as a "woops, I need a quick fix" solution, it is wrong....so I say "Yes" and "No."

on a side note katjha makes a good point they should have a court to decide what is a viable case for the need of abortion such a rape and such things

Abortion is a choice that needs to be weighed by those invidiuals involved.

WE do not have and should not have a say over their right to take this private and emmotional decision and make that decision on their own.

Abortion is not murder in any sense of the word.
Abortion is a choice, it should remain a choice, and a choice that be reached if no other alternatives would be viable for those involved.

Before ANY of you cry "no , its murDER!" please , do us a favor and go down to your nearest orphanage and adopt no less than 5 children as that is the number needed PER family in order to take care of the children that would be born to those , if abortion was made illegal.

No. Just because we are still at a primitive stage in human evolution, does not give us the right to terminate the life of the unborn.

People will have more sympathy for the developing animals potrayed on the Discovery channel this Sunday night than they will for a human. That is a very sad commentary on the state of affairs, if there ever was one.

Abortion, capital punishment, war, pandemics... I'm against anything that kills people unless there's an incredibly good reason. If the mothers life hangs in the balance... that could qualify as a very good reason. But 99% of the time? Nope.

Conception is nature's way of telling us that we're responsible for more than just us.

How about we illegalize abortion, but make sterilization on anyone that wants it free. Provide free or low cost contraceptives, distribute free condoms from ALL government financed offices and schools. Provide sex ed starting at the age of 9 in schools, that is educational, and not some vague movie about cartoon sperm and eggs.

YES! I do think after the first trimester you are stepping on moral boundaries, unless it is medically necessary.. but I think in the first trimester I am completely for it. I think more about the babies...making abortion illegal is not going to make those women care anymore about those babies... there will be more babies born into this world that are thrown in dumpsters, born drug addicted, born with HIV, born with neonatal herpes, born with FAS, born to women who are going to abuse them, etc.... I don't want a baby born into this world and to suffer and die- I will take the lesser of the two evils.. ..and obviously I am for it for rape, incest, mother's health, etc...
