the "D" stands for dual core, and yes it is 64bit (EM64T).

UnFortunately, no. Pentium D are not even Dual Cores. If u bought dual core, then the it should be written on the packet as pentium x"core duo".
Dual Core processors(Intel ) are not 64 bit processors.
They are 32-bit processors that can create virtual environment to run 64-bit softwares.

You could also use a small but very useful free software called cpuz from www.cpuid.com it will report all features and model from your processor.
