Lets see.. before "science", people lived in the cold and dark, had less and poorer quality food, could not communicate with each other as well, suffered more disease, and died younger.
After "science", people live healthier and longer lives. There are more people. More people = more problems to deal with.

Well that's a double edged question. Science has solved many problems I mean look at society today as opposed to 100 years ago. I would say science has solved a lot of problems. If there was no science, man kind would have died out a long time ago from disease and war, but instead here we are still kicking.
But with every answer solved from science several more are created, but that is only human nature, and it similar to every subject. If you discovered something, wouldn't you wonder if that could have different applications as well? Of course.
Without antibiotics, our civilization as we know it would exist. Most or all of mankind would have been wiped by plague or other diseases if we had no way of fighting infection.
Fossil fuels, they got us a jump start into the future, but now that we are seeing the effects of their use on our planet we are coming up with new ways to create energy, such as nuclear, solar, wind, wave, geothermal, biomass, and even possible fusion energy will all replace fossil fuels in the not so distant future. Plans have already been made to create a fusion power facility in Europe. Utilizing the same power generation techniques as the sun and creating no pollution at all.
So has science created more world problems? Possibly. But have they solved world problems, most definitely. As opposed to religion solving problems or creating I would definitely have to say creating, Look at wars. The majority of them are started by religious differences. I'm just glad the Church doesn't burn science pioneers at the stake anymore, I'm glad they wised up and realized, that they need scientists.

While Science has created some problems it has also solved many. It is a circle a problem exists science finds an answer to it but the solution can cause problems of it's own. But I'm on the side of science in this debate.

Both... depends on how you see it. We have polluted the world, but at the same time improved the quality of life and increased life span by a factor of two atleast in the last hundred years; which coincidentally, has led to more mouths to be fed and more land taken from animals. Go figure!
Stephen Hawkings (one the greatest scientists alive today), said that the problem is that our knowledge of science and technology has increased exponentially, but our mind's capacity to grasp the philosophical and ethical impact of utilization of these has only grown arithmatically! (Meaning, we could be causing ourselves harm without even realizing it! Like kids with an ATM card or machine guns)

Science is the search for truth. Science doesn't really solve or create problems. It's what we actually do with what we learn that creates problems or solves them. Science is just the tool. Tools can be used to build a house, or to tear it down.

Your Avatar suggests that you are female. Perhaps, you are not aware that females died in great numbers during childbirth before antibiotics. I remember reading the horror story of a son's recording his Mon's death from cervical cancer. He mentioned that when he went to visit her in the hospital he could hear her screams when he opened the door to the ward she was on. They had to have a closed casket funeral when she died because she had bitten through her lip because of the pain. Now, I ask you, has science solved more problems then it has created? Humankind brings one great accomplishment to this world--intelligence. Science is at the cusp of that achievement.
Below is a term paper that tries to list some of the wonderful things that science has brought.

After what befell on 9/11 and the effents that accompanied further a a lot deeper intending to the conflict on Terror. yet there has continually been terrorism. courting lower back so a ways as we are able to flow. the thank you to handle it now's a lot greater complicated. now no longer do we purely have the A bomb, yet we are actually coping with the opportunity of those terrosists unleasinging a organic and organic or nucleor risk that would very nearly convey us into the e book Of Revelation at every time. And who fairly became into in charge for attacking u . s .? became into the attack on the U. No absolutes. Mabye ask my son who became into over in Afganastan scuffling with alongside with the British, Korean and individuals? Or examine a e book approximately "secret Societies".

The average life expectancy has gone from 30 to the mid-70's in a few centuries. I say it solved a lot and created a few.
