My mom has this saying on her fridge-" If it sounds to good to be true, then it is."So, no, nothing in life is free. Materially, anyway...

Yes, there's plenty of free stuff, from Operating Systems, Office Suites (even on-line ones), file storage, web-mail, e-cards, calendars and more.
Why not do a search for 'Freeware' in your favourite browser?
Most of the programs on the PC I'm writing this on were all free (and legal), so get out there and look for stuff - I'm sure you'll find something you like.

Yes there are, you will not better this free installation for AVG Anti-Virus. Remember though to make sure you click on for the FREE edition only. This will safeguard your computer from viruses, there is no scam attached to this, like Yahoo! free emailing etc this is the genuine thing.

Free as in costs no money, yes, like a lottery to win though. But it is far from free. You may have to sign up for this, fill out that, link to that, and sell your soul. Eventually you may be in the running for it.

Of course, there are.
As a matter of fact, the yahoo account that you are using is free!
If you are talking abt freebies like free iPod, laptops, etc., there are sites which give away prizes if you win contests.

I got a free Ipod mini from an internet pyramid scheme once. I couldn't believe it when they delivered the thing.
