It is not a model rather this is what the mainstream Indians are like. All successful Bollywood themes have either reflected a desire or a reality. When they tried to impose anything which is a hype, it has always backfired. For example, hate pak and terrorism as the main theme have gone belly up. We are simple, peace loving people and like to live and let live.

Is secularism really necessary? I'm not sure... I think we should focus more on religious (and non-religious) tolerance and understanding which is what is displayed by these Bollywood actors. They are not displaying secularism. Religions can bring a lot of good values to government and society but shouldn't be the main agenda.

Are you speaking of Bollywood type films??? I kinda like those movies. I dont speak a lick of Indian but they have movies that are in English and it is quite interesting. But I dont think you should put your country before your religion. The other topics I havent a clue about. Sorry, but this is just my opinion.
