X is the female sperm they are actually stonger then male sperm. So if someone smokes or drinks it will weaken the male sperm and more likely to have a girl. Female sperm live longer then male sperm too. But male sperm swim faster if you drink caffeine the man that is ...it helps the male sperm get to the egg quicker.

you've disproved your own theory about genetics chosing the sex of your baby. we all know that it's the male sperm that decide what the baby will be, boy or girl. you said that your brother-in-law has four daughteres while your father-in-law has 4 sons. if i were going by what you typed then i would say that you had a 50/50 shot of getting a boy or girl. just wait and find out what you're having. this is nothing to be worried about because your husbands sperm could contain an equal amount of boy and girl making genetic material. so congrats and good luck.

The baby's sex will be determined by whichever sperm hits it and fertilises it. Woman's eggs are only X chromosomes and Sperms can be either X or Y. 2 X's make a girl and XY makes a boy - so ultimately it is the man who determines the baby's gender.

The simple answer is yes and no. You see, the reason to have an X or a Y chromosome, is the introduction of a certain chemical, I forget which one, at a certain time. If the chemical is not present, the baby with be a girl. If it is present, it will be a boy. Now, as far as family history, it makes no difference, because each individual has their own body make up and body chemistry. Hope this helps. Take care and congrats!

lol the sperm cell can only carry one gender determining chromosome... either X or Y you carry two X the odds say more likely female. thats why you have a greater chance of getting a girl. it has nothing to do with how many girls or boys are on either side.
