I saw footage of Jessica Simpson leaving off stage right in the middle of a song because she was nervous. She didn't even get an applause. Also, Ashley was lip-sycing on either the Tonight Show or Letterman. I think they're both dumb blonds and are only famous because of their looks, not their singing ability.

Neither, I still can't understand why they survive in the industry for so long. They aren't very pretty either, considering other ladies like Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Faith Hill, who are much more beautiful and can sing so much better.
Teens are just blinded by her shiny blond hair and how 'great' she looks. If they can't even do pop music properly, then what good are they? Uff.

On their albums they sound good Ashley has that raspy rock sound and she sounds good on the radio. I agree with others the only reason Ashley is famous is because Jessica was already famous from newlyweds so Ashley fed off of that. Although I'll admit I bought Ashley's album and I liked it so maybe it was good that she had her sister to help her boost her career. I only have a sample album of Jessica one of her early songs and it was pretty. When I see Jessica perform live though oh my gosh it sounds terrible and those facial expressions she makes are horrible she looks constipated. I haven't seen any of her movies but I hear she's terrible too. She wasn't very famous until she did Newlyweds and she got famous for being an idiot.

Jessica Simpson is a TERRIBLE singer. She sings everything the same way - kind of groans and whines it, in a way that I imagine she thinks is sexy but is really just annoying and makes it impossible to understand what she's actually saying. She said she was nervous because she was such a big fan of Dolly Parton but she forgot the lyrics - I mean come on it was 9 to 5 - even people who hate Dolly probably know those lyrics!
Ashley is a better singer and I think lots of singers lip synch now so I don't think it's that big a deal. I think she has a bad attitude though and she was so ridiculous for trying to say that she hasn't had a nose job or for not confirming it. If she had just said yes people would have stopped asking.

Honestly, I don't care for either one. But it was said that was rejected from the Mickey Mouse club auditions. I think she has an issue with Stage fright. But the bottom line is they both pretty much suck. I think JEssica is beautiful though. It's really too bad that Ashley is trying to metamorphacize into Jessica's image. After her song about living in her shadow, it's pretty pathetic. But when mommy and daddy have the money, anything is possible. It's one thing to sing in a studio with technology to back you up, it's another to get up on a stage and sing without something doctoring your voice. So no they can't sing!

I agree, but I don't even think that it's because of their looks. America enjoys being able to look in on people lives and judge them. Since Jessica has been in the public eye she plays or let us see how dumb blonds really are, so it's not an opinion an longer......this has FACT wriiten all over it and the sister is only famous because her sister is famous and Jessica has no problem with sharing the fame.

I think Jessica can sing but she was only made famous because of Nick. I never heard of her before there show on MTV. She is however a pretty girl so she moved up quick in Hollywood.
Ashely can't sing at all. I think her voice is dubbed.
She wasn't pretty but she was cute. Now she looks fake.

You are absolutely right... both of them are dumber than a bag of hammers and can't sing well at all. They can't act worth sour apples either. The only reason Jessica is famous is her looks and body, and the only reason Ashley is famous is she's Jessica's sister.

jessica simpson use to get singing lessons, which to me means she really cannot, do you see the way the she holds her stomach when she tries to belt out a tune? look at mariah carey, she only does that when she tries to hit those impossible notes!
Ashlee Simpson, is pure popular music for the now, she does not have the voice that makes her a legend like whitney houston or even celine dion, when she starts to get older or too much plastic surgery then she will disappear, trust me
