To pay for childcare will cost you that extra 10K, think about what will get you ahead in the long run. Do you enjoy being a Mom who does all that stuff with your kids? Or would you rather be the "working Mom". Me personally, I am the "working Mom". I choose to put my kids in latchkey while me and my husband work full time. We are far from wealthy, but we still have what we need, and the kids seem to be well adjusted. At first it might be tough for them, but eventually it becomes routine. Good Luck!

Do you have someone else (husband) That can take care of 401 and insurance? If so I would go for #1.
