And no, they do not have a bonnet to lift up.

hi the radiator is in the rear of the car where the engine is and is cooled using a fan, you can see this if you look at the engine. to top it up go to the front of the car and just below the windscreen you will see what look like air ducts in the middle of these there is a screw which you turn and this will pop out and you will be able to take it out. under there will be the top up for the coolant and brake fluid and windscreen washers. hope this helps.

Smart Car Radiator

Yes, Smart cars will have a radiator - it is needed to remove heat from the cooling system when the engine is hot.

Although I am not a Smart owner, it makes reasonable sense to assume that the radiator is in the front of the car under the bonnet - as this is where the air is coolest. It's unlikely that the radiator will be in the back near the engine as the engine bay itself is very compact and cramped - also Smarts don't have cooling ducts in front of the rear wheels!

Pop the bonnet and have a look under there, it should be pretty obvious what is what. Radiator will be in centre of car behind the bumper. The Air-con condenser will be there too.

Failing that, consult the manual that came with the car.
Failing that, contact local Smart / Mercedes dealership.

I like dick car guy's answer but offer that I had this problem with my old Jeep. I solved it by disconnecting the heater hose (engine cold) adjacent to the thermostat. This fitting bypasses the thermostat. Then I would fill the radiator until I saw coolant start to come out of the fitting next to the thermostat. That indicates that the engine block is full of coolant. I then reconnect the heater hose and continue filling the radiator. No further gymnastics was required.
