Have you lost or gained a lot of weight recently? Changed your diet completely? Started working out a lot? Started or changed birth control methods? Those things can alter your period.

But really, it could also be endometriosis. It may be other female-related diseases, but that's the only one I'm familiar with. It makes your period irregular, painful and sometimes really heavy. It's caused by the tissue in your uterus that engorges with blood around the time of your period to grow in other parts of your body. It causes internal bleeding, in addition to other things. Hurts horribly. There's no cure as of yet, but it's not a fatal disease or anything like that. The best method of treatment is usually birth control. A doctor won't be absolutely sure whether you have it or not, if and when you see him or her (because to know for sure, they'd have to do surgery to find the tissue in other places) but they'll have a pretty good idea. Talk to them about it. Good luck.

Have you consulted a gynecologist? I have had endometriosis for over ten years. I am doing better now, but at one time I had these same problems. Another conclusion could be fibroids, but you really need to go see a doctor and have a pap smear. Because there are other things that could cause these problems, and if caught in time can be treated and sometimes cured. Out of experience I wouldn't go on bc to control it if they think it's endometriosis. The estrogen will actually cause it to get worse. There are other natural treatments if this is the case. But you really need to see a doctor.

You don't give your age or how long since you've gone through puberty. Your body could be changing. The pain is either cramps (muscle contractions of the uterus expelling mentrual tissue and fluid) or ovulation pain (releasing an egg for fertilization). Every woman is different so if you're really worried, call your gyn. and have a check up.

You could be simulation a prognosis for a rare but serious condition of the uterus. Something has been "plugging" the hole for the flow to come out, and now it has been held inside of you for three months, that's why it's probably gushing out. If this happen again, I would go to an OB-GYN.

That isn't normal. Could be stress or anything else. I would see a gyno when you can!
