I'm organising the staff christmas party, which usually has some sort of gimmick and am hoping someone can help me.

In the past they've had guess the baby, guess the dog, guess the weight of the christmas pud, how many sweets in the tin and every year there's a raffle.

If you search for bowtie christmas party games on google or yahoo you should get to a bowtieproducts site that will give you 4 new original games that will help make your nite fun.

For office parties mixers like this work because they give folks something to do while they get warmed up to each other. if they want to talk, they can talk, but if conversatrion lags games like these take up the awkward silences that many of us dread.

Whats nice is that people don't all have to be in it to enjoy it. Some can just help out if asked or enjoy the groans of the answer section.

If links work in the answer blocks here's the link

there is also some party giving advice you may enjoy.

My wife and I made up the puzzles and many people really enjoy them.

I hope they work out well for you

Theme is Christmas.

on small paper cut outs, write down christmas related words such as: gift, snow, stocking, santa, reindeer, etc

then when you have your staff in the room. have them all sit in a circle.

paste each of these small paper cut outs (use post-its might help) on each employees head.

make sure they do not tell each other what word they have

then call out someone to stand up. let them show everybody what word they have.

then have the crowd give him hints as to what word is on his head.

for example: the word is santa - crowd will give hints such as wears a red suit

the person standing should guess what word they have.

if they get it right, you can reward them with candy or a small gift from the dollar store....

then just go around the circle till everyone went.

have fun

i used to work at a bank and every year we had a nice catered dinner at the local country club and drinks and a band. Sometime during the evening we would have a drawing for $$$ (yes money---we were the bank) and daytrips and dinner @ the 755 club & free vacation days.
