Can a 18 year old who drop out of high school a year ago come back to high school? Now if he did he would be a 10th grader. To me I think he should try and get a GED instead. What do you guys think?

I believe you are able to be in highschool till the age of 20. I would suggest contacting the school to get the info. If not a GED is the next step. Then he can start college. Also I think he could get his GED faster than if he went back to highschool.

He can come back. He should talk to the school administration about the details. The GED is fine, but school is better.

There's not a simple "yes" or "no" answer. It will depend on the school, and he should contact the admissions office of the school he wants to go to. (Admissions offices are very helpful because it's their job to get students enrolled.) Without knowing his individual circumstances, I would guess he would be more likely to be admitted to some other school than the one he dropped out of.

That depends on the state and type of High School he was attending. There are a lot of alternative schools he can go to.I would tell him to look into them.Good luck!

Of course he can! Besides a real diploma carries more weight than an equivalancy certificate any day.
