If you do not have a family to support and, better yet, have a family to help support you, then try to replace the existing job first, but be happy first and foremost. NO JOB makes you 100% happy 100% of the time. In fact, most people, even those who earn $150,000 a year complain about their bosses, their jobs, etc. GOOD LUCK!

You are the only one who can answer this question.
If you need money to get by, and have none to spare, then have a new job lined up before leaving your current one. Take your time looking, so that the next job meets all your needs.
P.S. Being bored with your work is probably as bad as hating it, because it sucks at your soul.

lots of people are in the same boat. Stay at your job, do some serious job hunting. Make sure you are absolutely certain for a move. You may want to talk to your supervisor and tell them that you are board. I am in a Sr. manger with a company that has 1,000 employees and when someone says there are board i take that seriously and find out what they like and get them in a position that would be favorable for both us and them.

The practicalities come first. The boredom of work should not be replaced with the boredom of unemployment. You need a smooth transition between jobs. Ensure you have a firm offer prior to submitting a resignation.

If it's just a part-time job then don't sweat it. Bring some drama to the place by just walking out without a two week notice. Well, they might hate you and not want you to come back but who cares.

How long have you been there?
While you should always enjoy what you're doing, but you decide to quit I would line up another job. Being unemployed sucks.
