Could they resist?
It would be very quiet and keep the rumor mills grinding.
If you don't think they have people assigned to go over everything he has ever done with an eye to discrediting every word or move hes made, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Most of the slurs will come from democrats especially Hillary if he has a skeletons in his closet Hillary will light him up. I have observe democrats seems to be the ones that are race baiters but because of the media they get away with it. Can you imagine if the Republicans made fun and did vicious cartoons on Condeleeza Rice the way democrats did, or an ex klu klux klan being a republican senator like Sen Byrd all hell would break loose but because he is a democrat the press will always give them a pass.

I do not think the Republican party will use any racial slurs against anyone who decides to run for President. How can you use the situation with Harold Ford that happened soooooooooo long ago. Maybe Colon Powell will run. Or maybe Condy Rice. hmmmmmmmmmm there republican and Black!!

You have got to be kidding me. I live in TN. No one used the race card but Ford himself, and it damn well lost him the election too. People here that would have supported him (many in my family) were turned off by his constant "everyone is being racist against me!" kind of rhetoric whining. No one was racist, but he used it as his last ditch effort. I didn't support him because he never went to work, and he was a democrat! But now the democrats and liberals are nominating minorities so they can accuse anyone who doesn't support them as being a racist. Well those scare tactics will back fire. I might have even considered Ford Jr, tell the truth, but when he started this race baiting to arm bar everyone into either "voting for me or your a racist" hell no I didnt vote for him. A man that can't stand on his own credentials and has to rely on race is no man at all

Harold Ford?? Do you know how long ago that was, give people more credit. I'm sure they will but if it were a republican of color you can be sure the demo's would. It's the nature of the game. I don't have a problem with his race, it's his party I do.

I don't think they had racial overtones in the RNC ad. Obama would lost because of his lack of experience and some won't vote for him because he is black.

avery you sound like an intelligent kid, so answer me this... is it the republicans or democrats that have more elected minorities in government?... it is the republicans.
is it republicans or democrats who slurred a presidential candidate by referring to him as Stalin, Genghis Khan, and Hitler during an election. it was the democrats.
is it republicans or democrats who refer to condi rice as an uncle tomlet (i am not making it up). its the democrats
for all the talk about the dems being the party of tolerance, they sure seem to be intolerant, small minded, and biggoted.
hope this answers your question. the only people bringing up obamas race will be the dems.
p.s. was it george bush or ted kennedy who refered to obama as "osama obama" . if you guessed ted kennedy (democrat) you are right.

Possibly. The idea isn't they don't like him because he's black, it's because he's a Democrat. Whether him, Hillary, or a white male like Howard Dean runs for president, they'll run smears on them to get votes. It's called politics, both sides do it.

As soon as you guys quit trying to make race an issue
Bush named Alberto Gonzales the first Hispanic attorney general. He made an Arab-American, Spencer Abraham, secretary of energy; a Cuban-American, Carlos Gutierrez, secretary of commerce; an Asian-American, Elaine Chao, secretary of labor; and a mentally challenged-American, Norman Mineta, secretary of transportation.
I guess I forgot the first female/male African American Secretary of Defense. Of course Condi/Powell
So much for racists huh?
