Why do liberals "hate America?"?

I consider myself conservative, but I never understood the argument that "liberals hate America." Would someone please explain?

It's really quite simple, Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity said Liberals hate America. Therefore, it must be true.

Most liberals don't hate America. Some conservatives paint them as hating America because they criticize or work to change some aspect of American government, society, or life that the conservatives doesn't agree with. That's not hating America in my book.

I will admit that some liberals get hung up advocating points that are far from main stream thinking, but conservatives have plenty of advocates for some pretty far out causes too.

We don't. We love America JUST as much as conservative- minded & independently- minded people.

Those arguments are completely un-founded. Those who make those claims look at one of two protesters who get airtime, and automatically assume that that's how we all feel. WAY off.

I love my country, and I love that we all differ, even on political ideology. Our country would fail if there was only one political view in this country, but as we are now, we're strong. I'm glad you're a conservative, each person of one party keep one in the other in line. Think checks & balances.

Also, if political differences didn't exist, then 2000 & 2004 wouldn't have been any fun for you, and 2006 wouldn't have been any fun for me. I also look forward to 2008, when it's (hopefully!) fun for me again.

[ADDED] And if we don't win in 2008, I won't like it, but I'll respect you & your party's success.

I' am a Conservative but I don't think that Liberals hate America even though their decisions hurts the Americans citizens way of life. What I think is, that they are not pro America like we are. That's all..

I was ready to get aggravated with you when I saw the question, until I clicked on it and saw the details.. thank you.. being American is caring about your country and your country's future.. whether you are liberal, Conservative, Republican, Democrat, Independent, or even a conspiracy theorist.. as long as you have an opinion, stand up for your beliefs, voice your opinions and care about what is going on you are American and you love your country....Everyone has differences of opinions and are free to voice them- that is what makes America such a great country

Not all Libs hate USA. The ones of who really dislike the US is the far left libs. They're the ones who dispise this country for one reason or another

It's a phrase that people who get all of their views from am radio use to quash argument. It means "liberals disagree with me", and it comes from people who will not tolerate disagreement or dissent.

Because it's Hip to be in the 'counter culture'. Liberals tend to admire socialist views and communism in one form or another. Both are Anit-American. They think that we can have Eutopia.

It has been said that-
if you are conservitive in your 20's, you have no heart.
If you are liberal in your 40's you have no brain.

Basically, it is because liberals are soft on terrorists. Many liberals outright support and cheer on the terrorists, and condemn the US soldiers fighting the terrorists.

So, if you cheer on people that want to destroy your country and condemn those who try to protect it, basically you must hate your country.
