Ive got 18 days to go! so I just want to be prepared. Ive bought a treadmill, as I havent been able to walk ANYWHERE in the pregnancy due to swollen feet and ankles, and cant wait to start walking and running again! But what actually works for all that flabby lose skin some people get after birth, apart from sit ups, and a good diet?

Let me tell you from having two kids and one on the WAY....i dont have not one stretch mark and flat as a board belly...Now this is what i did both times......After the preganacy i didnt drink super cold drinks, cool to room temp is best cause it will blot your tummy. You have a certain amount of time to put in a work out to get your body to go back flat. After birth naturally the body starts to go back to its normal shape, but if you dont help it and expedite the process you will get stuck with the left overs, when the body said " heck im done"

the best thing to do is NOT A TREADMILL after child birth your healing below. the best thing for the TUMMY.... is a excersise called

"6 inches......about 2weeks after the baby you can start.....lay down in your bed, flat on your back no pillows. ,,,put your hands over your head to hold the headboard or matress for suport. Laying flat with your legs straight out and together. raise them "6 inches (legs togheter) and place them down slowy on the bed .keep doing this start with about 20 sets ( rep 3) with a 2 minute break in between = 60 total.....TRUST ME THIS WILL WORK....

this is the only excersie the work TARGET on the ABS and getting the tummy back in shape the muscles is what cause the flabby kangaroos pouch after brith, so help youe body get back ....this will happen fast after about 2 months-3 months you should look great.. let me know

Do these once a day.....if the excersise start getting easy and the burn dones not hurt incease to adding 5-10 moves "6inche leg lifts.......

The bike is good for tightening tummy and wall sits. I had that problem too and as soon as I cut all the soda out of my diet, which was about a 12 cans a day, The weight started coming off like crazy. The thing about the tummy is it is so hard to get it back to normal..the longer you wait to try your chances of getting back just the way it was are slim so when doc says go ahead start scootin just don't over do your self...OH yeah..there are some realy neat exercises you can do with your baby research it on the internet and the biggest loser .com has some interesting ideas too good luck.

Don't work out until after you 6 weeks checkup! You can walk(starting off) then do sit-ups, flutter-kicks(Laying on back with hands underhead, lifted up. Feet 6 inches off of ground, alternate kicks in the air) Do Belly-Dancing! That is no joke! I tried it the other day, such a work out on your abs. Eat moderately what you like to eat. If you go on a diet, you will want to indulge on a craving, that will mess your diet up. MOST IMPORTANTLY you wont go back over night, it will take months, you body's had so much adjusting to do. I gave birth 5 months ago, I know

Maybe yoga and taichi will help you a bit. Search for the books at the library for exercise after pregnancy. I am not sure if it'll work though cause I am still an 8 grade student in high school lol. But you should maybe contact some professionals that works especialy for pregnancy things or ask your doctor if he or she has any recommandations for you.

Well I love your motivation but I'm not sure you will feel up to it right away or find the time to do so. Congrats on the baby and it comes off alot faster if you breastfeed. You will need to use a firming cream also when you begin working out again.

Lots and lots of sit ups, do ones for both the upper abds and the lower abs(lay on floor and raise knees to chest then straight out and repeat as much as you can) try lots of lotion to replace elasticity in skin. If some loose skin remains then surgery is your only answer....Some times it takes more than just six weeks to get your body back. That is for people who are able to exercise throughout pregnancy. You weren't so it may take more time....Good luck to you................

Finding time to do anything with a newborn is going to be a challenge. But something you can do when holding your new baby is suck in your stomach for ten seconds, then push it out for ten seconds..... it helps tone up the muscle.

Actually, you seem to be quite ready for it! Be careful, though... taking care of a child will wear you out! Don't get discouraged if you are too tired to exercise right away. Oh, and congratulations!
