It isn't necessarily just money, but how well she handles it. Sure, a woman can be making $100,000 net but if she is spending $110,000 it is a recipe for disaster.
Status doesn't really matter. Most male egos cannot handle a woman who is higher in status then he is. He must be the alpha.
The 3 main attributes differ among the male species. That is an individual preference.

Yes men are drawn to money so that they can buy their toys....
Three attributes:
1) personality
2) funny and fun to be with
3) respects me for who I am and tries not to change me...
