The battery cables are clean. I charged the battery for 45 minutes. Cylinoid broke along time ago so it is now rigged. I did change the battery when we put a new starter on though. Um, the lights are bright and radio and heater work.

Sounds like a dead battery. You'll need to take it to a local car place and have them test it.

If you have checked out the battery and it's OK and you have checked out the starter and it's OK and the ground straps ore OK then I would suspect the starter solenoid is the problem. If the car did not overheat and seize which could account for the starter not being able to turn the engine over the only remaining thing I could think of would be the ring gear could be at fault. I would first check your starter solenoid. Good hunting!

Check Battery and battery cable ends first, then check the ignition start relay, or starter relay. Just because the starter itself is fine doesn't mean that it is getting enough juice to start. Ignition switch is another problem.

Battery or one of the battery cables. Possibly the alternator.

I would check the cylinode (this might be spelled wrong) and do a load test on the battery.

Check for corrosion at the battery terminals. If there is corrosion, clean it off and use some di-electric grease on the terminals to help prevent future corrosion, then re-tighten your connections.
