Has it ever occurred to any of you conspiracy theorists that gasoline prices respond to market forces?
The US Government does not regulate the price of gasoline beyond EPA requirements for about a hundred different "summer blends" being available throughout the country.
Gas prices always go down in the fall.
Not to mention that some of the summer's rise was due to the NOAA's hurricane predictions that never came true. When the Gulf Coast suffered no shutdowns, a glut of gasoline became available in the United States.
Gas prices always go up for Holiday Weekends as well, or haven't you geniuses noticed that after 50+ years? What's the big driving Holiday in November? If you said Thanksgiving, go to the head of the class.
To claim that Bush or Cheney have anything to do with the price at the pump - other than their ability to respond to or create world crises which fuel speculators' bidding wars - is giving them way too much credit.

On a related note, it appears that Dubya is smarter than we thought! Before he was reelected, he said that if I vote for John Kerry then gas prices will go up. I voted for John Kerry, and sure enough, gas prices went up!
He's a freakin' genius!

Bush told the oil companys to raise the price of gas. He and Cheney were only in seven figures this year for their profits from oil.

as long because of the fact the DOW maintains to upward push i'm comfortable with it. i'm going to defer my winnings to my gasoline tank and contact it even. On a extreme word, if DOW became into tanking i might conform to a pair of this, however the Saudis are slicing us some slack on the fee of oil barrels so i don't think of its the Repubs working the gasoline.

Actually my gas prices stayed the same. I thought they would lower at that time. They are currently rising again.

That is the name of the game, but it was a kick in the face for the republicans and some sort of relief for the hard-working people like me.
