after i plugged im my kodak camera to the USB port an error comes up saying randll32 or something like that but now the computer will not start windows its window millenium. so i put in the recovery disk and start it up and it goes to a black screen and with a bunch of wrighting the last thing it has is the letter A. then i can type in a command. i dont know what to type . i even tried going to the bio sreen and switching witch drive to start first. need help parents dont wanna by a new computer what needs to be done some plz help not a computer wiz here some explaine in laymen term plz . im goin crazy

i forgot to mention that the computer did not have kodak installed on the computer

Windows ME was a very unstable OS and that is why it never lasted long. From what you are saying, I would think your best bet would be to take the disks and format the hard drive and reload everything. That will get rid of any of the contanimated files that are floating around in there. I had all kinds of problems with ME until I got rid of it. You should have a Red, Blue, and Yellow CD that will let you completely reload everything or you can run some tests from them.

Windows ME has a restore feature available. Restart the system and go into safe mode. Then go to start> programs> accessories> system tools> system restore and restore it to a point before you tried to install the Kodak software. This should get you going. Good Luck

Go to the above link on another computer and print this out.
You need to go to the safe mode.
You created a hardware conflict and as a result some irq settings have been changed.
you can troubleshoot through it using the instructions at the above link.
